Use Stradasalt correctly

Salt is a natural mineral that quickly removes ice and snow. Use the correct amount and type to spare the environment and surfaces.

Salt before snowfall

  • Spread a little Stradasalt Icebreaker before frost or snowfall.
  • Remove melted snow to avoid refreezing.
  • Spread a little more Stradasalt Icebreaker to avoid further refreezing.

Clear first

Remove as much snow and ice as possible, and immediately salt any remaining snow. This will avoid using too much salt.

Spread more Stradasalt before frost or further snowfall.

Green areas

When salting park grounds, use road salt that is kinder to vegetation, such as Stradasalt MG Kombi or chloride-free thawing agents.

Cold

Stradasalt Icebreaker functions down to temperatures of -21 °C, but is most effective down to temperatures of -7 to -10 °C.

Thick ice

The thicker the ice, the more Stradasalt Icebreaker you need to use to remove the ice.

Concrete

Remove meltwater from concrete surfaces to prevent shattering or splitting due to frost.
